"Pretty easy to use overall"
I hopped on aclu.org to look up some info about rights, and right away I figured it would be a bit overwhelming, but it was actually easy to use. The menu is straightforward and most of the pages are laid out clearly. I did assume a couple sections would be quicker to skim, but they ended up being kind of text-heavy, so it took me a minute to find exactly what I needed. Overall though, it was a good experience.

"Pretty fair, though I still had a few questions"
I don’t agree with everything on aclu.org, but overall it came across as fair to me. I liked that it seemed more focused on civil rights issues than just pushing party politics. The articles were easy enough to read and didn’t feel overly dramatic. That said, I did wonder a bit about how consistent the quality is across everything on the site, so I wouldn’t take every page as the final word. Still, it’s a solid place to check out if you want a more balanced take on rights-related topics

"I got involved with my local..."
I got involved with my local aclu chapter recently and it’s been a great experience. Everyone I met was friendly and helpful, they were clear about when meetings were happening and what to expect. It was easy to jump in without feeling lost, I’m really glad to be supporting the work they do...

"I mostly like what they're trying to do"
I’m generally on board with the mission and think it’s a good idea overall. The site just feels a little pushy here and there, like it’s nudging you a bit too much sometimes.

"Helpful email updates that don’t overdo it"
So... I signed up for ACLU emails, the amount they send feels reasonable.
I get updates often enough to know what’s going on, but it doesn’t feel like they’re taking over my inbox. They’re also easy to skim, which I appreciate.
It’s a nice way to stay in the loop without having to check the website all the time. No real complaints from me.

"Membership is fine, but I expected a bit more"
I signed up because I genuinely support the work they do, and I was in a hopeful mood at the time. Overall, the membership is okay, but it doesn’t feel super valuable day to day. Most of what I get is emails and more donation requests. I’m still glad they exist and I don’t regret supporting them, I just wish being a member came with something that felt a little more useful

"Donating was easy overall"
I donated through aclu.org and it was, you know, fairly simple. The form made sense and I got the receipt almost right away. I just kind of wish the page didn’t have so much extra stuff on it, but overall it was fine.
"They were helpful when they replied, and..."
They were helpful when they replied, and I got the info I needed. I did have to follow up once, which felt a little unnecessary, but overall it was a smooth experience.

"Privacy feels like it’s being taken seriously"
I feel comfortable using it because the privacy side seems well handled (which is a big deal for me). It just gives me the sense that my data is safe and not being treated carelessly.

"Clear about where the money goes"
Before donating, I looked around ACLU to see how the money is used, and it was easy to find the financial info. The reports and numbers were laid out clearly and didn’t feel buried or hard to access. I think that helps give donors like me a little more confidence and makes giving feel more comfortable.

"Good at keeping things moving"
They really do push issues forward and fight hard for you. It wasn’t always the quickest process, but I appreciated the follow-up, especially when I got receipts and emails showing what was being done along the way.
